An Eternal Legendary Crest can be purchased once a week after you have completed a warband raid from the Crest Merchant near the Elder Rift entrance. Eternal Legendary Crests give guaranteed unbound legendary gems which are sellable on the auction house for Platinum. This purchase is the highest priority because you can use the legendary gems for upgrades or sell them on the auction house which is profitable if you happen to find a 4/5 or 5/5 star legendary gem.

2. Legendary Gems

 

Purchasing legendary gems and their copies from the auction house is another high priority way to spend your Platinum. Legendary gems are the standard approach in Diablo Immortal to increase your character's strength. The Pain Clasp two star gem, Mother's Lament two star gem, and Spectre Glass two star gem are great options to start with because they're the best two star legendary gems if you aren't spending money on ranking up five star gems. The Roiling Consequence five star gem is the highest priority five star gem which can be purchased once you can afford to rank it up. Blood-Soaked Jade and Hellbound Desires are also high priority five star gems because of the importance of increased movement speed.

3. Awakening Your Equipment

To Awaken your equipment you'll need Dawning Echoes which can be purchased for 10,000 Platinum from the Currency section of the in game shop. Awakening allows you to get a bonus modifier on each piece of your equipment which is often a huge boon to your character. You can start with one star and two star legendary gems but you might also eventually want to rank up five star legendary gems to rank four which is the required gem rank for Awakening five star gems.​

4. Savior Familiar

Savior is a familiar passive that's a major boost to your character's capability. Savior provides a cheat death with damage immunity which is extremely helpful for your character's survival. You will regularly use the cheat death once you have it to survive tough fights. If you're patient you can sometimes find a Savior familiar for fairly cheap on the auction house.

5. Starter Charm

You should look for your most important damage skills on your charm with at least 2% for each skill. This is a tiny increase to your characters capability which means it's not a high priority but it can also be done for a low amount of Platinum.

6. Upgrade Your Normal Gems

​

Normal gems such as Sapphires which provide Armor Penetration are a high priority and they can be purchased from the auction house with Platinum. Aquamarines are also great for PvP tank builds. If you're playing an instant damage over time build like Condemn Crusader, Grim Scythe Necromancer, or Demoralize Barbarian, Citrines are the most important normal gem because they give potency which extends the duration of your damage over time effects. Tourmalines give added damage and they're fairly inexpensive. Tourmalines can be ranked up to a decent rank for added damage and as an added benefit normal gems increase the attributes on your equipment. Topazes give resistances which help lower the duration of damage over time effects on you for PvP and they shorten the duration of loss of control effects like freezes and stuns.​

7. Bonded Familiars

Bonded familiars give traits that improve your character's damage and survival and they can also have purple traits which are major quality of life improvements. Remote Identification, Remote Salvaging, and Remote Armory are all convenient and they can save a lot of time. You should look for purple traits on your familiars with traits that improve your damage.​​

8. Orange Runes

​

Purchasing orange runes with Platinum for each equipment slot is fairly important because runes increase the attributes of your equipment and they also provide important buffs that improve your character's damage and survival.​

9. Reforge Stones

​

Reforge Stones are an optional way to optimize the magic bonuses on your equipment. They cost 1000 Platinum from the in game shop and they're completely optional because regular reforges from spending Hilts and event rewards can be used instead. Reforge Stones can guarantee magic bonuses from a smaller list of options which helps speed up reforging.

10. Optimizing And Min-Maxing

​

You can purchase resonant gems from the auction house for your legendary gems for more resonance, various damage increases and defensive bonuses, and more gem powder which is helpful for ranking up your legendary gems. You can also purchase multiple copies of priority five star legendary gems to rank them up to higher ranks. Normal gems should also eventually be optimized because they make a huge difference in your character's capability. Eventually you might also want to look for an S Tier familiar like a 170+ Resilience Duskprowler with Savior which gives a cheat death and temporary damage immunity, an Ash Sweeper with Savior, or a Broodtalon with Savior for a cheat death and Lingering Wounds which increases your damage. And finally, your charm can be optimized to increase the damage of each of your active skills.
