Diablo Immortal: The Best PvP Classes Ranked

Introduction: The Best PvP Classes And Builds Ranked Guide

This guide contains the best PvP classes ranked against each other for low to mid resonance players. You can also find links in the menu that can take you to the recommended PvP builds in these rankings. You might also pick up on some strengths and weaknesses and tips and tricks from these rankings about what makes each PvP class so powerful.

1. Wizard - PvP Disintegrate Ice Crystal Wizard

While Wizards aren't the most powerful PvP class in the game for getting kills in battlegrounds, Wizards are well known for their excellent crowd control abilities. Scorch CC is a powerful build for players with low resonance and Disintegrate Ice Crystal Wizards and Arcane Wind Primary Wizards are better at higher resonance levels. The Arcane Wind skill can slow opponents to a stand still especially when they're frozen inside your Arcane Wind. Wizards often win battlegrounds for their team by simply using their strong crowd control abilities to limit the mobility and damage of their opponents. If you prefer to play for damage and kills, the PvP Disintegrate Wizard and the Arcane Wind Primary Wizard are highly recommended.

Note: All of the builds found in these rankings can be found in the menu at the top of this webpage.

2. Crusader - PvP Sweep Attack Crusader

Crusaders are extremely powerful at higher resonance and potency levels. They can instantly consume their potentially very high damage over time effects with Condemn when using the Torrential Refrain offhand essence. Crusaders also have excellent mobility with Draw and Quarter and they can usually make quick work of lower resonance players without high resistances to counteract their potency. Not to mention they have Conjuration of Light which gives you and your nearby party members full damage immunity for a medium duration. Their Weakness? Demon Hunters, Monks, and Druids.

3. Demon Hunter - PvP Strafe Multishot Demon Hunter

The highest damage Demon Hunter build at mid to low resonance is the Strafe Multishot Demon Hunter which is a strong build for PvM and PvP. Higher resonance players also often prefer the Dash Spinning Chakram build for PvP instead. Demon Hunters are a powerful PvP class because they can attack from a distance while moving which counters multiple builds. This means that Demon Hunters can deal high damage while they're out of range of most attacks. Demon Hunters moved down from first to third place due to changes in the meta which includes Warlocks being added to game.

4. Barbarian - PvP Demoralize Barbarian

Tank Barbarians are notorious in PvP for being a strong defensive class. Barbarians become a force to be reckoned with in PvP once they discover the Undying Rage skill which gives a cheat death that heals you with its damage. The Gladiator paragon gives another cheat death. They become even more powerful once they have a Savior familiar which gives another cheat death. Your equipment rolls from Reforge Stones can give another cheat death. See a pattern here? Barbarian tanks are notoriously difficult to kill because they can make use of more and better cheat deaths without even using the Phoenix Ashes gem which gives another cheat death. Barbarians have three strong PvP builds which are Demoralize, Hammer of the Ancients, and Cleave. PvP Cleave Barbarians were nerfed which lowered their Cleave skill range and PvP Demoralize Barbarians had their damage reduction nerfed. These nerfs made PvP Demoralize Barbarians about even in capability to PvP Cleave Barbarians and dropped Barbarians from second place to fourth place in these rankings.

5. Monk - PvP Tranquil Palm Exploding Palm Monk

The Monk class used to be very weak in PvP battlegrounds because the Cyclone Strike Tempest Rush Monk was very susceptible to crowd control and it didn't deal as much damage as most of the other builds. The Monk class is now more competitive with the introduction of the untargetable Exploding Palm Monk which keeps the Monk from being targeted during their assaults. Exploding Palm Monks can also go invisible with Mystic Strike which makes them even more difficult to attack. Exploding Palm Monks were recently slightly nerfed which lowered the amount of time you remain untargetable but they still do excellent in PvP serving as a tank role for idols and they also deal fairly high AoE damage.

6. Warlock - PvP Lash of Pain Warlock

PvP Lash of Pain Warlocks empower their primary attacks to knockback enemies with a wide area of effect and the Burning Ascent dash skill is recommended to dash in and out of danger with immunity to total losses of control while also giving a massive 120k health absorb shield. Siphon Life is also important in PvP for improved defenses and mobility because it gives a 30% life heal when you take damage five times, increases your movement speed while active, and increases your damage and attack speed. Infernal Eruption is also great for PvP to knock enemies into the air which stuns them, damages them, and burns them over time. The PvP Spiteful Sacrifice Warlock is another strong option for a Warlock PvP build that is competitive for this spot because it attacks from a distance which helps keep your Warlock safe when you're fighting.

7. Druid - PvP Werebear Druid

Druids are a fairly new class and they perform well in battlegrounds as a Werewolf, Werebear, and human. Werebear Druids give the best tanking in the game but they were slightly nerfed and they're not as powerful as they once were. PvP Werebear Druids should be built for tanking which means defensive rolls on equipment and defensive legendary gems and normal gems. Werebear Druids are also ranked about even with Dash Werewolf Druids for PvP. Werewolf Druids fight with dashes similar to PvP Dash Tempests but Dash Werewolf Druids have significantly better damage and survivability.

8. Necromancer - PvP Grim Scythe Bone Spirits Necromancer

The Grim Scythe & Bone Spirits Necromancer used to be popular with the whales (big money spenders) and the PvP Wiltbloom Golem Tank Necromancer was great at tanking idols in battlegrounds. The Necromancer class is now ranked lower in these PvP rankings because the Grim Scythe & Bone Spirits Necromancer and the Corpse Lance & Grim Scythe Necromancer were heavily nerfed and the Wiltbloom Golem Necromancer was completely removed from the game.

9. Blood Knight - PvP Abomination Blood Knight

Blood Knight is ranked ninth place for PvP because their damage is lower than most of the other PvP classes but if you're a big spender you can also be nearly unkillable with Abomination and Transfusion. The Abomination Blood Knight is another build that can benefit from defensive rolls on your equipment. The Abomination Blood Knight is the recommended PvP build for Blood Knight after changes to the meta and it has almost entirely replaced the old meta PvP Dash Blood Knight.

10. Tempest - PvP Zephyr Surge & Stormfury Tempest

The PvP Dash Flowing Strike Tempest can get into PvP fights and deal high burst damage with their dash attacks and then get out of danger with their great mobility at low resonance. However, the new PvP Zephyr Surge Tempest should be used at normal resonance because it deals more damage while still being strong at survival in PvP. The PvP Zephyr Surge Tempest is ranked in last place because PvP Tempests' damage is much lower than most of the other classes and builds. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

End Note

Diablo Immortal PvP isn't completely about how high your resonance gets or how much money you spend on the game. Sometimes the build you choose and the time you spend can make a huge difference in your damage in PvP. Low to mid resonance players can win battlegrounds even when there are multiple whales on the other team if they choose the right classes and builds. If you would like to see more builds for each class you can look at the menu at the top of this page. If you don't see a build that you really want to play you can learn from what works and tweak it to your liking. Good luck!
