Asymmetric Reality - Disintegrate now also drains energy from opponents recovering energy each time it hits.

Heart of the Storm (Offensive) - Ice Armor now electrocutes enemies but no longer gives an absorb shield.

Halestone (Defensive) - Ice Armor now gives six charges of damage absorption and chills enemies when they attack you.

Entropic Edge - Disintegrate now also has increased damage based on the distance to the target.

Note: This essence is better than the Hexflood essence once it's Awakened because it gives a reduced Disintegrate cost.

Blaster Cast - Magic Missile now fires two additional missiles.

Mask of Many - Slow Time now automatically channels your charge skills which includes Disintegrate.

Searing Judgment - Disintegrate now also changes its damage type to fire and burns enemies.

Greaves of the Firmament - Disintegrate now also deals additional damage every three hits.

Recommended Sets

1. Grace of the Flagellant (4 Set) - Deals additional damage every five times you deal damage to an enemy.

2. Vithu's Urges (4 Set) - Increases your beneficial effects duration by 30% and your attack speed by 30% for a duration.​

Note: Look for blue sockets on both of your rings so that you can socket them with Sapphires and/or Aquamarines.

Skill Enchants

1. The Ice Crystal skill enchant is optional to make your Ice Crystal refract an extra beam for better AoE damage.

2. The Ice Armor skill enchant is great because it increases your movement speed by 8% and it stacks up to four times.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems

1. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance on cooldown and causes critical hits to burn enemies.

2. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives increased damage, reduces damage taken below 50% life, and increases movement speed.​

3. Colossus Engine - Gives increased skill damage, increased area of effect, temporary knockback immunity, and increased size (which increases your movement speed) for a medium duration on cooldown.

4. Blood Floe - This five star gem gives increased damage, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and causes bleed.

5. Hellbound Desire - Increases damage and movement speed with bonus damage for a six second duration.

6. Fated Trail - Deals a percentage of your life as damage, shatters enemies' armor, and immobilizes enemies.

7. Leviathan Tomb - Increases your damage for a duration and makes critical hits increase its damage bonus.

8. Void Spark - Deals AoE damage that's very effective for challenge dungeons, terror rifts, and speed farming.

Best 2 Star Legendary Gems

1. Pain Clasp - Gives high increased damage against enemies that have a continuous damage effect on them.

2. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and releases a damaging spike that causes an enemy to bleed.

3. Specter Glass - Increases the damage taken by enemies after critical hits and increases your critical hit chance.

4. Fervent Fang - Gives a stacking damage increase and increases your damage against elites and bosses.

5. Mourneskull - This legacy gem increases your damage for each enemy that it drains up to three but it's drop disabled.

6. Viper's Bite - This damage over time gem is strong early on because it deals great damage at low resonance levels.

7. Crimson Behelit - Strong legacy gem that gives increased damage and reduced damage taken but it's drop disabled.

8. Igneous Scorn - Can be combined with other critical hit chance legendary gems to deal damage on critical hits.

Note: Pain Clasp is triggered by the burn from the Disintegrate skill when using the Searing Judgment shoulder essence.

Best 1 Star Starter Legendary Gems

1. Berserker's Eye - Increases all of your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.

2. Entropic Well - A strong one star gem that increases your skill damage and your attack speed.

​3. Everlasting Torment - Deals damage over time on critical hits which also triggers the Pain Clasp two star gem.

4. Trickshot Gem - Lowers your channeling costs which allows you to channel Disintegrate for a longer duration.

5. Surging Sea - A decent one star gem that quickly stacks increased skill damage stacking up to ten times.

Note: Berserker's Eye is a strong one star gem that requires a high ranked up five star gem to match its damage.

Best Familiars

1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience legendary Duskprowler with the Savior passive which provides a cheat death and temporary damage immunity. The 170+ Resilience on the familiar lowers the cooldown of Savior. The Tenacity passive is great because it lowers the Duskprowler's shield cooldown. The Lingering Wounds passive increases your damage but it only works on a Duskprowler if you also have the Ignition passive which gives a chance to burn enemies.

2. Broodtalon/Skitterwight - Look for Savior for a cheat death and Lingering Wounds which increases your damage.

3. Ash Sweeper - Ash Sweepers are strong for PvP because they damage nearby enemies and mark an enemy reducing their damage by 20% for three seconds. They can also have 170+ Resilience which reduces the cooldown of Savior.

4. Any Savior Familiar - You can also use any familiar with Savior and great passive skills as a budget option.

5. Rare Duskprowler - Guardian is the next best familiar passive because it heals you when you drop below 50% life. Innervate can reset one of the player's cooldowns, Phalanx increases your damage and defenses, Precision gives critical hit chance to the familiar, and Tenacity lowers the cooldown of the Duskprowler shield which are also desirable passives.

Note: Broodtalons and Skitterwights have status effects over a duration which increases the duration of Lingering Wounds.

Normal Gems

Prioritize Tourmalines for added damage in red sockets and use your highest refinement Citrines and Topazes in yellow sockets. You should use your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. You can also optionally combine all of your Rubies which give more maximum life and socket one or two of them in your equipment if they give higher refinement. Normal gems give refinement based on their quality and refinement increases the attributes of the equipment the normal gems are socketed in.​

Gem Notes

The Hellbound Desire and Blood-Soaked Jade five star gems are important for this build for increased movement speed. The Fated Trail five star legendary gem is a powerful gem once you have high maximum life from Vitality and resonance. The fairly new Leviathan's Tomb five star gem deals more damage than Fated Trail but it doesn't have the added benefit of an immobilize effect. The Blood Floe five star gem is a great option when it's combined with multiple sources of increased critical hit chance and critical hit damage. When using increased critical hit chance legendary gems you should also roll increased critical hit damage on every piece of your equipment that you can for increased damage.​
