Note: Look for blue sockets on both of your rings and socket them with Sapphires which give armor penetration.

Recommended Skill Enchants

1. Corpse Lance skill enchants make Corpse Lance increase your movement speed for a medium duration.

2. Bone Spikes skill enchants also slow enemies' movement speed when they're hit by your Bone Spikes.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems

1. Roiling Consequence - Greatly increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.

2. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives increased damage, reduces damage taken below 50% life, and increases movement speed.​

3. Fated Trail - Deals damage to enemies as a percentage of your life, shatters enemies' armor, and immobilizes enemies.

4. Colossus Engine - Gives increased skill damage, increased area of effect, temporary knockback immunity, and increased size (which increases your movement speed) for a medium duration with a 20 second cooldown.​

5. Hellbound Desire - Increases your damage and movement speed with bonus damage for a six second duration.

6. Leviathan Tomb - Increases your damage for a duration and your critical hits increase its damage bonus.

7. Blood Floe - Lower priority 5 star gem that increases damage, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and causes bleed.

8. Void Spark (PvM) - Deals massive AoE damage that's effective for challenge dungeons, terror rifts, and speed farming.

9. Frozen Heart (PvP) - Gives an absorb shield and chills opponents which lowers their attack and movement speed.

Best 2 Star Legendary Gems

1. Pain Clasp - Gives high increased damage against enemies that have a continuous damage effect on them.

2. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and releases a blood spike at an enemy that causes them to bleed.

3. Specter Glass - Increases enemies' damage taken after critical hits and increases your critical hit chance.

5. Fervent Fang - A strong gem that gives enemies a stacking damage taken increase when they're hit by your attacks.

5. Viper's Bite - A nice gem for early on that deals damage over time which is great for killing opponents after cheat deaths.

6. Mourneskull - A great legacy gem that increases your damage and deals its own damage but it's drop disabled.

7. Igneous Scorn (PvM) - Can be used with Roiling Consequence and Mother's Lament to deal damage on critical hits. Igneous Scorn is the lowest priority two star gem and should be the first to be replaced with a ranked up five star gem.

8. Crimson Behelit - Strong legacy gem for increased damage and reduced damage taken that's drop disabled.

Note: The Pain Clasp is the best two star gem for damage and Crimson Behelit is the best PvP two star gem.

Best 1 Star Legendary Gems

1. Berserker's Eye (PvM) - Increases all of your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.

​2. Entropic Well - A great one star gem that increases your skill damage and increases your attack speed.

3. Everlasting Torment - A strong budget gem that deals damage over time after critical hits and it increases attack speed.

4. Surging Sea - A lower priority one star gem that has a stacking skill damage increase that stacks up to 10 times.

5. Respite Stone (PvP) - A strong defensive one star gem that reduces damage taken and increases your block chance.

6. Faltergrasp (PvP) - Disables opponents' dash skills on critical strikes and greatly reduces their movement speed.

Note: Berserker's Eye is the best one star gem for PvM and it requires a ranked up five star gem to match its damage.

Best Familiars

1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience Duskprowler with the Savior passive skill which provides a cheat death and temporary damage immunity. The 170+ Resilience on the Duskprowler lowers the cooldown of Savior. The familiar should also have the Guardian passive for a heal when you drop below 50% life. The Lingering Wounds passive can be used for more damage but it requires the Ignition passive on Duskprowlers which burns enemies over time to work.

2. Broodtalon/Skitterwight - Can have Savior which provides a cheat death and Lingering Wounds for increased damage.

3. Ash Sweeper - Ash Sweepers are strong for PvP because they damage nearby enemies and mark an enemy reducing their damage by 20% for three seconds. They can also have 170+ Resilience which reduces the cooldown of Savior.

4. Any Savior Familiar - You can use any familiar with Savior for a cheat death and great passive skills as a budget option.

5. Rare Duskprowler - Guardian is the next best familiar passive because it can provide a large heal when you drop below 50% life. Innervate gives a chance at resetting one of the player's cooldowns, Steel Hide gives a chance to block, Precision gives your familiar critical hit chance, and Tenacity lowers the cooldown of the Duskprowler shield which are also desirable.

Note: Broodtalons and Skitterwights have status effects over a duration which increases the duration of Lingering Wounds.

Normal Gems

You should use Tourmalines for increased damage in red sockets and a combination of Citrines for potency and Topazes for resistances in yellow sockets for the highest refinement. Citrines are preferred for more damage in PvM but, Topazes are preferred for PvP because resistances reduce the duration of negative effects on you. You can combine all of your bound Rubies which give life and socket them in red sockets if they give higher refinement. You should also socket your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. Normal gems give refinement based on their quality and refinement increases the attributes of the gear the normal gems are socketed in.

Gem Notes

The Hellbound Desire and Blood-Soaked Jade five star gems are important for this build for increased movement speed. The Fated Trail five star gem is a strong PvP legendary gem once you have high enough Vitality and resonance. The Leviathan's Tomb five star gem deals more damage than Fated Trail on nearly every build but it doesn't have the added benefit of an immobilize effect for PvP. The Blood Floe five star gem is a solid gem when it's combined with multiple sources of increased critical hit chance and critical hit damage. When using increased critical hit chance legendary gems like Roiling Consequence, Blood Floe, and/or Mother's Lament you should consider rolling increased critical hit damage on your equipment using Reforge Stones for more damage. The Frozen Heart five star legendary gem is also recommended for PvP because it gives an absorb shield and it chills opponents which lowers their attack speed and movement speed.​
