Dash Whirling Strike Blood Knight Guide
This Dash Whirling Strike Blood Knight is the best speed farm Blood Knight build and it's solid at PvP Convoy but its single target damage is also lower than most builds. Its fast movement speed from dashes makes it a great option for contested tower runs, daily quests, and speed dungeon clears. This build uses Whirling Strike, Swarm of Bats, and Skewer as dash attacks and Wave of Blood deals additional damage after your dashes. Wave of Blood casts behind you after dashes knocking enemies into the air, Whirling Strike dashes forward causing enemies to Bleed, Swarm of Bats dashes and greatly increases your movement speed, and Skewer dashes, drags enemies, immobilizes them, and stuns enemies that are already immobilized. Whirling Strike, Swarm of Bats, and Skewer each have multiple charges which allows you to repeatedly use dash attacks while you move with 60% increased movement speed from Swarm of Bats.

Paragons & Legendary Skills: Dash Whirling Strike Blood Knight Build

1. Harbinger is the highest damage paragon because it improves your dash skills, movement speed, and critical hit chance.
2. Gladiator is the best PvP paragon tree for this build because it gives a cheat death and helps with loss of control.
3. Vanquisher is the best paragon tree for increased magic find and gives increased damage and attack speed on kills.
4. Harbinger can be used in Erebban for an absorb shield, movement speed, and to move unhindered through enemies.
5. Survivor is recommended in Vanguard when you have a low charm because it has a cheat death that works in Vanguard.
6. The best legendary skill is Lightning Rod for damage and Curse of Weakness for PvP which lowers enemies' damage.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems
1. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.
2. Hellbound Desire - Increases damage and movement speed with bonus damage for a six second duration.
3. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives increased damage, reduces damage taken below 50% life, and increases movement speed.
4. Colossus Engine - Gives increased skill damage, increased area of effect, short knockback immunity, and increased size (which increases your movement speed) for a medium duration with a 20 second cooldown.
5. Leviathan Tomb - Increases your damage for a duration and makes critical hits increase its damage bonus.
6. Blood Floe - A low priority five star gem that increases damage, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and causes bleed.
7. Fated Trail - Deals damage as a percentage of your life, shatters enemies' armor, and immobilizes enemies.
8. Void Spark (PvM) - Deals massive AoE damage that's highly effective in dungeons, terror rifts, and open world farming.

Best 2 Star Legendary Gems
1. Pain Clasp - Gives high increased damage against enemies that have a continuous damage effect on them.
2. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and fires a blood spike at an enemy that makes them bleed.
3. Specter Glass - Increases the damage taken by enemies after critical hits and increases your critical hit chance.
4. Fervent Fang - Gives enemies a stacking damage taken increase and increases your damage against elites and bosses.​
​5. Mourneskull - This legacy gem is drop disabled but it can be used to increase your damage and it deals damage.
6. Viper's Bite - A nice gem for early on that deals high damage over time if you have low legendary gems and resonance.
7. Igneous Scorn - Can be used with Roiling Consequence and Mother's Lament to deal damage on critical hits. Igneous Scorn is the lowest priority two star gem and should be the first to be replaced with a ranked up 5 star gem.
8. Crimson Behelit - Strong legacy gem with increased damage and reduced damage taken that's drop disabled.
Note: Seeping Bile and the Viper's Bite aren't needed to trigger the damage increase on the Pain Clasp two star gem from there being continuous damage on the enemy because you already have continuous damage on this build.

Best 1 Star Legendary Gems
1. Berserker's Eye - Increases all of your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.
2. Everlasting Torment - A great budget option that deals damage over time on critical hits and increases your attack speed.
3. Entropic Well - This is one of the best one stars gem because it gives high increased skill damage.
4. Havoc Bearer - Increases your damage and attack speed after using a dash skill for 2 seconds on a 6 second cooldown.
5. Faltergrasp (PvP) - Disables opponents' dash skills on critical strikes and greatly reduces their movement speed.
Note: Berserker's Eye is a great one star legendary gem that requires a high ranked up 5 star gem to match its damage.

Best Familiars
1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience legendary Duskprowler with the Savior passive skill which provides a cheat death and temporary damage immunity. The 170+ Resilience on the Duskprowler lowers the cooldown of Savior. The Tenacity passive is also great to have to lower the Duskprowler's shield cooldown. The Lingering Wounds passive can also be used for more damage but it requires the Ignition passive on Duskprowlers to burn enemies over time to work.
2. Broodtalon/Skitterwight - Can have Savior which provides a cheat death and Lingering Wounds for increased damage.
3. Ash Sweeper - Ash Sweepers are strong, especially in PvP, because they damage nearby enemies and mark an enemy reducing their damage by 20% for three seconds. They can also have 170+ Resilience to reduce the cooldown of Savior.
4. Any Savior Familiar - You can use any familiar with Savior for a cheat death and great passive skills as an alternative.
5. Rare Duskprowler - Guardian is the next best passive because it can provide a large heal when you drop below 50% life. Innervate gives a chance at resetting one of the player's cooldowns, Steel Hide gives a chance to block, Precision gives the familiar critical hit chance, and Tenacity lowers the cooldown of the Duskprowler shield which are all also desirable.
Note: Broodtalons and Skitterwights have status effects over a duration which increases the duration of Lingering Wounds.

Normal Gems
Prioritize Tourmalines for added damage for PvM and use a combination of Citrines and Topazes for potency and resistances in yellow sockets for the highest refinement. Potency increases harmful effects durations on enemies and resistances decrease harmful effects durations on you. Citrines for potency is preferred if you only care about PvM damage but resistances come into play more with PvP. You should also use your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. Gems give refinement based on their quality and refinement increases the attributes on the equipment the normal gems are socketed in.

Gem Notes
The fairly new Leviathan's Tomb five star gem deals more damage than the older Fated Trail five star gem on almost every build. The Blood Floe five star gem is a great option when it's combined with multiple sources of increased critical hit chance and critical hit damage. The Colossus Engine five star gem is also recommended because it helps with burst skill damage. Golden Firmament is a great five star gem for this build because it deals its own damage and this is a lower damage speed farming build. When using increased critical hit chance legendary gems you should also consider rolling critical hit damage on your equipment with Reforge Stones for more damage.​
