Main Hand

Crash And Burn - Burning Ascent now is channeled and unleashes burst of wind that damage enemies below it.

Note: This version of Burning Ascent gives 50% increased movement speed as long as it is channeled.

Off-Hand

Shornhollow - Demonic Pact now increases you and your minions' damage and movement speed but also causes you to take 10% increased damage. Additionally your minions death will be briefly delayed when they receive fatal damage.​

Main Hand 2

Pointed Respite - Demonic Portal now summons a minion that increases the damage of your minions and heals them.​

Off-Hand 2

Jawless Grin - Infernal Eruption now also deals increased damage against Burning enemies.

Helmet

Scarred Memories - Burning Ascent now also reduces its cooldown and has energy stored every time you move 5 yards.

Note: This essence allows you to channel Burning Ascent indefinitely for a permanent 50% movement speed increase.

Chest

Ashes of Liberty - Infernal Eruption now creates a fire damage aura that increases in intensity with your movement speed.

Shoulders

Impassioned Misery - Burning Ascent's critical hit chance is increased with your movement speed stacking up to 38%.

Margin of Error - Infernal Eruption now also has greatly increased range.​

1. Shepherd's Call To Wolves (4-6 Set) - Increases minion damage and critical hit chance for each minion you have out.

2. Vithu's Urges (2 Set) - Increases the duration of your beneficial effects by 30%.

3. Untouchable Mountebank (2 Set PvP) - Gives a chance to gain an absorb shield when you're damaged.​​​​​

Skill Enchants

1. Demonic Portal skill enchants give the highest damage because they give a 15% chance to summon another demon.

2. Burning Ascent skill enchants remove slow effects and make you immune to total loss of control for one second.

3. Demonic Pact skill enchants can be used to give beneficial effects provided have 9% increased duration.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems

1. Roiling Consequence - Gives increased critical hit chance and causes your critical hits to burn your enemies.

2. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives increased damage, reduces damage taken below 50% life, and increases movement speed.

3. Hellbound Desire - Increases damage and movement speed with increased bonus damage for a six second duration.

4. Wulfheort - Slashes enemies when they take damage and increases attack speed for you and your allies on cooldown.

5. Blood Floe - Increases your damage, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and causes enemies to bleed.

6. Leviathan Tomb - Gives increased damage and makes your critical hits increase its damage bonus for a duration.

7. Colossus Engine - Gives increased skill damage, increased area of effect, increased movement speed (from its size increase), and temporary knockback immunity on a 20 second cooldown.

8. Void Spark (PvM) - Deals high AoE damage that's very effective for challenge dungeons, terror rifts, and speed farming.

9. Frozen Heart (PvP) - Gives an absorb shield that chills enemies which lowers their attack speed and movement speed.

Note: The Wulfheort five star gem is powerful on this build because it also increases the attack speed of your minions.​​

 

Best 2 Star Legendary Gems

1. Pain Clasp - Gives increased damage against enemies that have a continuous damage effect on them.

2. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and fires a damaging spike at an enemy that causes them to bleed.

3. Specter Glass - Increases enemies' damage taken after critical hits and increases your critical hit chance.

4. Fervent Fang - Gives enemies a stacking damage taken increase and increases damage against bosses and elites.

5. Viper's Bite - This damage over time gem is strong early on and it deals great damage at low resonance levels.​

6. Mourneskull - This legacy gem can be used to increase your damage and deal damage but it's drop disabled.

7. Crimson Behelit - A strong two star gem that increases damage and reduces damage taken that's drop disabled.

Note: Pain Clasp is the best PvM two star legendary gem and Crimson Behelit is the best PvP two star legendary gem.

Best 1 Star Starter Legendary Gems

1. Berserker's Eye - Increases all of your damage and your critical hit chance but it also increases your damage taken.

2. Everlasting Torment - A strong budget gem that deals damage over time on critical hits and increases your attack speed.

3. Entropic Well - A strong one star gem that increases your skill damage and increases your attack speed.

4. Faltergrasp (PvP) - Disables opponents' dash skills on critical hits and greatly reduces their movement speed.

5. Respite Stone (PvP) - Strong defensive one star gem that reduces damage taken and increases your block chance.

Note: Berserker's Eye is a powerful one star legendary gem that requires a ranked up 5 star gem to match its damage.

Best Familiars

1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience Duskprowler with the Savior passive skill which provides a cheat death and temporary damage immunity. The 170+ Resilience on the familiar can lower the cooldown of Savior from 75 seconds to 60 seconds but only Duskprowlers and Ash Sweepers can have 170+ Resilience. The Tenacity passive skill is great to have to lower the Duskprowler's shield cooldown. Lingering Wounds which increases your damage can only be used on a Duskprowler if you also have the Ignition passive for a chance to burn enemies which counts as a familiar status ailment.

2. Broodtalon/Skitterwight - Look for Savior which provides a cheat death and Lingering Wounds for increased damage.

3. Ash Sweeper - Ash Sweepers are strong, especially in PvP, because they damage an enemy and mark them for 3 seconds reducing their damage by 20%. They can also have 170+ Resilience which reduces the cooldown of Savior.

4. Any Savior Familiar - You can use any familiar with Savior for a cheat death and great passive skills as an alternative.

5. Rare Duskprowler - Guardian is the next best familiar passive because it can give a large heal when you drop below 50% life. Innervate gives a chance to reset one of your skill cooldowns, Steel Hide gives a chance to block, Precision gives your familiar critical hit chance, and Tenacity lowers the cooldown of the Duskprowler shield which are also desirable passives.

Note: Broodtalons and Skitterwights have status effects over a duration which increases the duration of Lingering Wounds.

Normal Gems

Prioritize Tourmalines for added damage in red sockets and use a combination of Citrines and Topazes for potency and resistances in yellow sockets for the highest refinement. Potency increases harmful effects durations on enemies and resistances decrease harmful effects durations on you. Citrines are preferred in PvM for more damage but resistances are more desirable for PvP fights. You should also use your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires for increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. You can optionally combine all of your bound Rubies which give life into one or two Rubies and socket them into your equipment if they give more refinement. Gems give refinement based on their quality and refinement increases the attributes on the equipment the normal gems are socketed in.

Gem Notes

The fairly new Leviathan's Tomb five star gem deals significantly more damage than the Fated Trail five star gem but it doesn't have the added benefit of immobilizing enemies. The Wulfheort five star gem is excellent for this build because it slashes enemies when they're hit and it increases you and your allies' attack speed on cooldown and this build uses minions. The Blood Floe five star gem is a strong gem when it's combined with multiple sources of critical hit chance and critical hit damage. When using multiple increased critical hit chance legendary gems you should also consider rolling increased critical hit damage on multiple equipment slots with Reforge Stones for more damage. The Frozen Heart five star gem is strong for PvP for an absorb shield and it chills opponents which lowers their attack speed and movement speed.​
