Main Hand

The Craw (PvM) - Werebear now increases your attack range and maximum life.

Invincible Arc (PvP) - Werebear now gives immunity to loss of control effects and grants an absorb shield based on how much Primal Power you consume but it also greatly lowers your movement speed.

Off-Hand

Mauler's Mitts - Werebear (Crush) now empowers your primary attacks and causes critical hits to deal additional damage.

Main Hand 2​

Rattling Shell (PvM) - Each summoned wolf increases your movement speed by 20%, stacking up to 60%.

Blood and Mud (PvP) - Rabid Might now also increases your and your allies' critical hit chance for a short duration.

Off-Hand 2

Tuskguard (PvM) - Summon Oak Sage now no longer passively summons and instead summons three Oak Sages that damage enemies causing explosions when they hit burning enemies.

Cedarkin (PvP) - Summon Oak Sage now summons Oak Sages that provide high damage reduction and immunity to one loss of control effect per summoned Oak Sage.​​

Helmet

Bounding Accuracy (PvM) - Werebear (Bound) now leaps to a target location damaging all nearby enemies and it increases the attack speed and critical hit chance of your primary attacks.

Mask of Pouncing (PvP) - Werebear (Bound) now leaps to a target and gives an absorb shield. Additionally, while the absorb shield is active you take decreased damage.

Chest

Barbmantle - Thorn Armor now shields you, damages enemies, and can be triggered by your primary attacks.

Shoulders

Bar-Ghaist Beacon (PvM) - Summon Wolves now summons two fire wolves that burn nearby enemies.

Lifeless Reminder (PvP) - Werebear (Bound) now also reduces enemies' movement speed by 30% and prevents their use of dash skills for 2.9 seconds. Cannot prevent dash skills this way more than once every 6 seconds to the same enemy.

Legs

Silent Observer - Summon Oak Sage now also greatly increases your primary attack speed for a medium duration.​

Recommended Sets

1. Grace of the Flagellant (PvM 4 Set) - Deals additional damage to enemies after every five times they take damage.

2. Shepherd's Call to Wolves (PvM 4 Set) - Increases your critical hit chance based on how many minions you have out.

3. Untouchable Mountebank (PvP 4 Set) - Used for PvP for a chance to gain an absorb shield when you are damaged.

4. Vithu's Urges (PvP 2 Set) - Increases the duration of your beneficial effects by 30% and increases attack speed.

5. Houlga's Hunger (PvP 2 Set) - Causes 0.5% life self damage for 5 seconds to increase your critical hit chance by 18%.

Note: Look for blue sockets on both of your rings for Aquamarines which give Armor for PvP.

Skill Enchants

1. The Werebear enchant gives an absorb shield each time you lose 25% of your life so ideally you want multiple of these.

2. Oak Sage skill enchants heal you each second based on how many Oak Sages you have active.

3. Thorn Armor skill enchants heal you for a percentage of your life when you gain an absorb shield.

Note: Stacking as many of these defensive skill enchants as possible is extremely important for Werebear Druids in PvP.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems

1. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.

2. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives increased damage, reduces damage taken below 50% life, and increases movement speed.

3. Golden Firmament - Gives multiple ranged wind blade attacks and increases your evasion for better tanking.

4. Hellbound Desire - Increases damage and movement speed with increased bonus damage for a six second duration.

5. Fated Trail - Deals damage scaled with your maximum life, immobilizes enemies, and increases their damage taken.

6. Wulfheort (PvM) - Slashes at enemies when you deal damage and increases the attack speed of you and your allies.

7. Spiteful Blood (PvP) - Makes you immune to primary attacks when you drop below 50% life, gives an absorb shield, and increases your damage for a duration on cooldown.

8. Leviathan Tomb (PvM) - Increases your damage for a duration and makes critical hits increase the damage bonus.

9. Haunt Coil (PvP) - Useful in offensive and defensive stance to increase damage or reduce damage taken for a duration.

10. Echoing Shade (PvM) - Summons 1-3 minions that increase your damage when using the Shepherd Call to Wolves set.​

11. Frozen Heart (PvP) - Gives an absorb shield for a medium duration and chills opponents.​

Note: At mid or low resonance you should replace the Spiteful Blood and Fated Trail five star gems with the Stubborn Oracle and Crimson Behelit two star gems for better defenses in PvP at lower resonance levels.

Best 2 Star Legendary Gems

1. Pain Clasp - Gives high increased damage against enemies that have a continuous damage effect on them.

2. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and causes a blood spike that makes enemies bleed.

3. Specter Glass - Increases the damage taken by enemies after critical hits and increases your critical hit chance.

4. Viper's Bite - A nice gem early on that deals damage over time  which can kill opponents after their cheat deaths.

5. Crimson Behelit - A strong legacy gem with increased damage and reduced damage taken that's drop disabled.

6. War Herald (PvP) - This PvP gem increases your damage and gives an absorb shield after you lose a total of 100% life.

7. Abiding Curse (PvP) - Lowers enemies' attack speed and movement speed and gives a damage increase against them.

8. Battleguard (PvP) - Greatly reduces your damage taken against enemies within three yards.

9. Stubborn Oracle (PvP) - Gives a chance to block enemies in front of you and reduces the duration of loss of control.

Note: Crimson Behelit, Stubborn Oracle, and Battleguard are all excellent defensive two star gems for PvP tanks. Abiding Curse can also optionally be used but it requires high potency to get a decent debuff duration on your opponents.

Best 1 Star Legendary Gems

1. Berserker's Eye (PvM) - Increases all of your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.

2. Freedom and Devotion (PvM) - A budget gem that increases the duration of your minions and increases their damage.

3. Entropic Well - This one star legendary gem increases your skill damage and increases your attack speed.

4. Everlasting Torment - This gem deals damage over time on critical hits and increases your attack speed.

5. Faltergrasp (PvP) - Disables opponents' dash skills on critical strikes and greatly reduces their movement speed.

6. Respite Stone (PvP) - A strong defensive gem for Werebears that reduces damage taken and increases block chance.

Best Familiars

1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience Duskprowler with the Savior passive which gives a cheat death and temporary damage immunity. The 170+ Resilience lowers the cooldown of Savior but only Duskprowlers and Ash Sweepers can have 170+ Resilience. The Tenacity passive is strong for lowering the cooldown of your familiar skill, the Guardian passive is great for healing, and Steel Hide is great on tanks because it occasionally increases your block chance.

2. Broodtalon/Skitterwight - Look for Savior which provides a cheat death and Lingering Wounds for increased damage.

3. Ash Sweeper - Ash Sweepers are strong, especially in PvP, because they damage nearby enemies and mark an enemy reducing their damage by 20% for 3 seconds. They can also have 170+ Resilience which reduces the cooldown of Savior.

4. Any Savior Familiar - You can use any familiar with Savior for a cheat death and great passive skills as an alternative.

5. Rare Duskprowler - Guardian is the next best familiar passive because it provides healing when you drop below 50% life. Steelhide occasionally gives increased block chance, Phalanx increases your damage and defenses, Precision gives critical hit chance to the familiar, and Tenacity lowers the cooldown of the Duskprowler shield which are also all desirable.

Note: Broodtalons and Skitterwights have status effects over a duration which increases the duration of Lingering Wounds.

Normal Gems

Prioritize Rubies for life to improve your tanking in PvP in red sockets and a combination of Citrines and Topazes for potency and resistances in yellow sockets for high refinement. Potency increases harmful effects durations on enemies and resistances decrease harmful effects durations on you. You should also use your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. Normal gems give refinement based on their quality and refinement increases the attributes on the piece of equipment the normal gems are socketed in.

Gem Notes

The Haunt Coil five star gem is great on tank builds when you switch stances which gives a large absorb shield, more damage, and damage reduction. The Spiteful Blood five star gem is also strong defensively at higher ranks in PvP because when you drop below 50% life you gain four seconds of immunity to primary attacks, increased damage, and an absorb shield which helps with tanking idols in battlegrounds. The Golden Firmament five star gem deals its own damage which makes it stronger for damage on tanks and it also has evasion rating. The Echoing Shade five star gem can be used in PvM to increase your minion count which gives increased critical hit chance with the Shepherd's Call to Wolves set but it shouldn't be used in PvP because its minion duration is heavily strifed in PvP. The Frozen Heart five star gem should also be used for PvP for an absorb shield that chills opponents which lowers their attack speed and movement speed.​
