Dash Werewolf Druid Guide

The Dash Werewolf Druid is recommended as a very strong Druid PvP build but the new Fire Tornado Druid build has better single target damage and AoE damage. This Werewolf Druid build uses the Werewolf shapeshift form along with Raven Swarm, Thorn Armor, and Summon Oak Sage (PvM) or Rabid Might (PvP). With the recommended legendary essences, Werewolf form Burns nearby enemies and causes an explosion on primary attack critical hits, Raven Swarm makes your primary attacks and skills deal extra damage, Thorn Armor makes burning enemies take extra damage, and Summon Oak Sage summons minions that deal additional damage against burning enemies. For PvP, Werewolf causes enemies to Bleed and heals you when you damage Bleeding enemies, Raven Swarm makes your primary attacks and skills deal extra damage, Thorn Armor damages enemies and shields you and triggers automatically with your primary attacks, and Rabid Might increases your maximum life and makes you immune to the next three total loss of control effects.

Paragons & Legendary Skills: Dash Werewolf Druid Build

1. Harbinger is the highest damage paragon for this build because it increases your damage when using dash abilities.

2. Gladiator is the best PvP paragon tree for this build because it gives a cheat death and helps with loss of control.

3. Vanquisher is the best paragon tree for increased magic find and gives increased damage and attack speed on kills.

4. Harbinger can be used in Erebban for an absorb shield, movement speed, and to move unhindered through enemies.

5. Survivor is recommended in Vanguard when you have a low charm because it has a cheat death that works in Vanguard.

6. The best paragon legendary skill for this build is Lightning Rod which deals damage after 10 hits within 3 seconds.

Dash Werewolf Druid Skills and Equipment:

Skills

Main Hand

Loamskull (PvM) - Werewolf now gives a fire aura burning enemies and causing primary attacks to explode on critical hits.

Scalp Splitter (PvP) - Werewolf now causes enemies to Bleed on critical hits and Bleeding enemies heal you on hit.

Off-Hand

Scar Carver - Werewolf (Rend and Tear) now causes you to dash forward and follows the dash up with a powerful attack.

Main Hand 2

Nyteflurry - Raven Swarm now damages enemies whenever you use your primary attacks or skills for a duration.

Off-Hand 2

Tuskguard (PvM) - Summon Oak Sage minions attack enemies and deal additional damage to enemies if they're burning.

Ravenous Wilds (PvP) - Thorn Armor now also makes the target take increased critical hit damage stacking three times.

Helmet

Wildebrute - Werewolf (Lunge) now causes you to flicker out of site and dash at nearby enemies up to three times.

Chest

Coat of Fecundity (PvM) - Thorn Armor now is an aura that causes burning enemies to take additional damage.

Barbmantle (PvP) - Thorn Armor now shields only you, casts automatically, and damages nearby enemies.

Shoulders

All Are Prey - Werewolf now also has 29% increased damage reduced for each nearby ally, up to a -10% reduction.

Legs

Lightling Drape (PvM) - Summon Oak Sage now also has increased damage each time they attack stacking up to 4 times.

Bloodied Prey (PvP) - Werewolf (Rend and Tear) now also deals high additional damage when an enemy is Bleeding.

Recommended Sets

1. Gloomguide's Prize (4 Set) - Greatly increases your critical hit chance for three seconds after using a dash skill.

2. Grace of the Flagellant (4 Set) - Deals additional damage to enemies after every five times they take damage.

Note: Look for blue sockets on both of your rings so that you can socket them with Sapphires which give Armor Penetration.

Skill Enchants

1. Rabid Might skill enchants make Rabid Might increase your damage by 9%.

2. Raven Swarm skill enchants make Raven Swarm generate three additional Primal Power.

3. Werewolf skill enchants fear enemies when they drop below 50% life with a cooldown of 12 seconds for each enemy.

Best 5 Star Legendary Gems

1. Roiling Consequence - Increases your critical hit chance and causes critical hits to burn enemies.

2. Blood-Soaked Jade - Gives increased damage, reduces damage taken below 50% life, and increases movement speed.

3. Hellbound Desire - Increases damage and movement speed with bonus damage for a six second duration.

4. Blood Floe - A strong legendary gem that increases damage, critical hit chance, critical hit damage, and causes bleed.

5. Leviathan Tomb - Increases your damage for a duration and makes critical hits increase its damage bonus.

6. Colossus Engine - Gives increased skill damage, increased area of effect, short knockback immunity, and increased size (which increases your movement speed) for a medium duration with a 20 second cooldown.

7. Wulfheort (PvM) - Slashes enemies when they're hit and increases you and your allies' attack speed on cooldown.

8. Fated Trail (PvP) - Deals damage as a percentage of your life, shatters enemies' armor, and immobilizes enemies.

9. Void Spark (PvM) - A powerful AoE gem that fires chain lightning at enemies on hit and increases your attack speed.

10. Frozen Heart (PvP) - A PvP gem that gives an absorb shield and chills opponents on cooldown.

Note: Wulfheort increases allies' attack speed so it also increases the attack speed of your Summon Oak Sage minions.

Best 2 Star Legendary Gems

1. Pain Clasp - Gives high increased damage against enemies that have a continuous damage effect on them.

2. Mother's Lament - Increases your critical hit chance and causes a blood spike that makes an enemy bleed.

3. Specter Glass - Increases the damage taken by enemies after critical hits and increases your critical hit chance.

4. Fervent Fang - Gives enemies a stacking damage taken increase and increases damage against elites and bosses.

5. Igneous Scorn - Low priority gem that can be combined with critical hit chance gems to deal damage on critical hits.

6. Viper's Bite - A strong gem for early on that deals damage over time for low legendary gems and resonance players.

7. Mourneskull - This legacy gem increases your damage and deals damage but it's currently drop disabled.

8. Crimson Behelit - A strong PvP legacy gem with increased damage and reduced damage taken that's drop disabled.

Note: The Pain Clasp two star gem is triggered by burning continuous damage so Viper's Bite isn't needed to trigger it. Pain Clasp is the best two star gem for damage and Crimson Behelit is the best PvP two star gem.

Best 1 Star Legendary Gems

1. Berserker's Eye - Increases all of your damage and critical hit chance but also increases your damage taken.

2. Freedom and Devotion - A budget one star gem that increases the duration of your minions and increases their damage.

3. Everlasting Torment - A great budget option that deals damage over time on critical hits and increases your attack speed.

4. Havoc Bearer - Low priority gem that increases your damage and attack speed after using a dash skill on cooldown.

5. Respite Stone (PvP) - A strong PvP one star gem that reduces your damage taken and increases your block chance.

6. Faltergrasp (PvP) - Disables opponents' dash skills on critical strikes and greatly reduces their movement speed.

Note: The Berserker's Eye one star gem deals high damage and takes a ranked up five star gem to match its damage.

Best Familiars

1. Savior Duskprowler - Look for a 170+ Resilience Duskprowler with the Savior passive skill which provides a cheat death and temporary damage immunity. The 170+ Resilience on the Duskprowler lowers the cooldown of Savior. The Tenacity passive is recommended to lower the Duskprowler shield cooldown. The Lingering Wounds passive can also be used for more damage but it requires the Ignition passive on Duskprowlers to burn enemies over time to work.

2. Broodtalon/Skitterwight - Look for Savior which provides a cheat death and Lingering Wounds for increased damage.

3. Ash Sweeper - Ash Sweepers are strong for PvP because they damage nearby enemies and mark an enemy reducing their damage by 20% for three seconds. They can also have 170+ Resilience which reduces the cooldown of Savior.

4. Any Savior Familiar - You can use any familiar with Savior for a cheat death and great passive skills as an alternative.

5. Rare Duskprowler - Guardian is the next best familiar passive because it can give a heal when you drop below 50% life. Innervate gives a chance to reset one of the player's cooldowns, Phalanx increases your damage and defenses, Precision gives familiars critical hit chance, and Tenacity lowers the cooldown of the Duskprowler shield which are also all desirable.

Note: Broodtalons and Skitterwights have status effects over a duration which increases the duration of Lingering Wounds.

Normal Gems

You should use Tourmalines for added damage in red sockets and a combination of Citrines and Topazes for potency and resistances in yellow sockets for the highest refinement. Potency increases harmful effects durations on enemies and resistances decrease harmful effects durations on you. Citrines for potency is preferred if you only care about damage but, resistances come into play more with PvP. You should also use your highest refinement Aquamarines and Sapphires which give increased armor and armor penetration in blue sockets. You can optionally combine all of your bound Rubies which give life into one or two Rubies and socket them into your equipment if they give more refinement. Gems give refinement based on their quality and refinement increases the attributes on the equipment that the gems are socketed in.

Gem Notes

The Fated Trail five star gem is a strong gem once you have ranked up five star gems because its damage is scaled with your maximum life and resonance. The fairly new Leviathan's Tomb five star gem deals significantly more damage than Fated Trail but it doesn't have the added PvP benefit of an immobilize effect. The Blood Floe five star gem is a great option when it's combined with multiple sources of increased critical hit chance and increased critical hit damage. When using multiple increased critical hit chance legendary gems you should consider using Reforge Stones to roll increased critical hit damage on your equipment for increased damage. The Frozen Heart five star legendary gem is highly recommended for PvP for an absorb shield and it chills opponents which lowers their attack speed and movement speed.
